RDC R8620 Series: x86 Compatible Low-Power SoC Creates Highly Integrated Industrial Application Core
RDC's latest generation low-power R8620 series processor adopts a single system chip design, based on RDC RISC power-saving x86 compatible core architecture, operating at 400MHz. Highly integrated with DDR3 memory controller, PCI-Express interface, SATA storage interface, USB controller, SD card, PWM, ADC, Fast Ethernet and RDC 16-bit local bus to allow system developers to extend existing system functions without replacing current equipment. The R8620 series features networking capabilities and industrial-grade operating temperature characteristics, designed for target industries such as industrial automation, industrial control, smart grid data collection equipment, and emerging IoT applications. Following the requirements for small-sized devices and streamlined hardware design patterns, RDC's low-power processor also provides the RD6201 series with built-in memory single system chip, helping hardware engineers simplify PCB layout, thereby reducing board costs and improving quality reliability to accelerate product time-to-market for system developers. Operating system support includes Microsoft® operating systems and DOS family.
