| RDC R88 series is based on proprietary 5-stage pipeline RISC architecture plus hardware emulator to emulate 186/188 instruction set to be a generic 186/188 compatible 16-bit MCU. |

| Check FF56h (Timer0) or FF5Eh (Timer1) bit 4 RTG (Re-trigger Bit). Timer0/1 operation controlled by PIN TMRIN0/1. If RTG set to 1, a 0 to 1 edge transition on TIMIN0/1 resets the count of timer0/1. If RTG clear to 0, TMRIN0/1 with a High input enables counting and TMRIN0/1 with a Low input holds the timer value. PIN 11 is a multi-function pin TMRIN0 and PIO11. PIN 10 is a multi-function pin TMRIN1 and PIO0. |

Compiler: Microsoft C , Borland C , Turbo C++ ( The above need extra linker , locator for the embedded core). RDC Suggest using the Paradigm C++ which is the IDE environment for R88 CPU.
Tool: 1. RDC provides the R88DT which is the ROM base emulator and supports high level debugger. 2. Third party : 2-1. Paradigm C++ supports debugger which through RS232 to control CPU, called” Serial Debugger “. 2-2. Trace-32, the ROM base emulator, too. |
